Christmas time has always been extremely special to my family and I. Like most every family does, we have our favorite holiday traditions. Our family always loved going to drive through the St. Alban’s Festival of Lights every year, where you could grab a cup of hot chocolate and get a picture with Santa on a Polaroid camera. Now, the older I got, the creepier the Santa became and the hot chocolate was just gross. It was like the place kept going down hill. (Sorry, guys back home, but I know you know what I'm talking about.)

Now that I am all grown up with a family of my own, I try to carry on traditions that my family and I did together, even though we no longer live in the same state. When you live in a huge state like Texas, everything is bigger including the lines to for a Christmas Light display. Trying to find memorable traditions for the kids is a little more of a challenge because no one wants to wait in the car with a toddler for hours to get into an attraction. Luckily, I stumbled upon the PERFECT Christmas attraction for the whole family!

There's an amazing place in Bedford, Texas, which is between Dallas and Fort Worth called Daystar Television. Daystar is a Christian-based broadcast network that has a Christmas light display that is absolutely stunning! I remember seeing their sensational light display last year shortly after moving to Texas and wondering if it was open to the public. Luckily, this year they invited my family and I to check out their enormous display and we are so glad that they did! It was breathtaking and so festive! The best part is, you can park your car and walk through, so whether you have small children or are out for a romantic holiday night out, you can enjoy the show at your own leisure! If you don't feel like walking, no worries, you can still drive through! I would definitely recommend you check it out and get your picture taken with Santa while you’re there! It’s a fun holiday attraction for every age group!  ATTRACTIONS

-Life Sized Nativity

-Over 1 MILLION Christmas Lights

-Kid-Friendly Christmas Town

- 8 Foot Interactive "JOY" sign

-Professional Photos with Santa

-Treats from Scratch Cafe

8-foot joy sign

Yep! You read that right, they even have their own Cafe and it is delicious, might I add! My favorite part about the whole experience was that Daystar really embodied the true meaning of Christmas. You could tell that they wanted every person who drove by, walked through, or saw the lights from the highway to really enjoy it. We were told that it takes 6 months to put all the lights up and they do it every single year! Talk about dedication! It was very impressive and I look forward to taking my daughter every year as one of our very own Christmas traditions. If you would like to visit Daystar Television Brodcasting’s superb Christmas light display, I have given you all the information you need below! You will not be disappointed!
